Version Adoption in PubSub+ Cloud
-
Beginning June 2025 with the release of broker version 10.25.0, PubSub+ Cloud has a two-week release cadence and a two-year support cycle.
-
For information about the version adoption policy for event broker versions before the 10.25.0 release, see Version Adoption for Releases Prior to 10.25.0 in PubSub+ Cloud.
The key benefits of our version adoption policy are:

Predictable, scheduled releases in PubSub+ Cloud
PubSub+ Cloud makes new releases of the underlying PubSub+ software event broker available on a two-week rolling release cadence with a June release designated as a Long Term Support (LTS) release. Existing event broker services can upgrade to any higher version released after your current version. This cadence makes it easy for you to plan upgrades. For more information, see Availability of Releases in PubSub+ Cloud.
For details about the software event broker versions, see Event Broker Releases.

Defined support for each software event broker version in PubSub+ Cloud
Both Long Term Support and Rolling releases come with two years of support. LTS releases receive maintenance releases every two weeks with security and product fixes, while Rolling releases do not receive maintenance updates. For more information, see Support Phases in PubSub+ Cloud below, and Software Event Broker Versions and Support in PubSub+ Cloud.

Defined upgrade path for PubSub+ Cloud broker releases
You can upgrade to any higher release numbered version that was released after your current version and was released while your current version was still within its active support period. Upgrading is easy to schedule and requires minimal effort from you. For more information, see Upgrading Event Broker Services in PubSub+ Cloud.

Types of Releases in PubSub+ Cloud
Solace offers two generally available release types for PubSub+ Cloud: Long Term Support (LTS) and Rolling.
Long Term Support (LTS) releases are specially designated rolling releases available in June of each year with maintenance releases every two weeks for two years. They offer the following:
-
Maintenance releases every two weeks containing security and product fixes.
-
Security advisories for all vulnerabilities. We define vulnerabilities as any security software bug in Solace software or third-party dependencies that could result in a loss of confidentiality, integrity, or potential instability risk. We issue security fixes for vulnerabilities as part of a maintenance release within a time frame based on the severity of the vulnerability (for more information, see the Common Vulnerability Scoring System v3.0: Specification Document):
-
Critical (CVSS v3 9.0-10.0) within 15 days
-
High (CVSS v3 7.0-8.9) within 30 days
-
Medium/Low (CVSS v3 0.1-6.9) within 90 days
-
-
Backporting of fixes for severity 1 and 2 issues and vulnerabilities in LTS releases are delivered via maintenance releases as long as, in the opinion of Solace, they do not introduce any instability risks.
Rolling releases are generally available releases intended for new feature introduction. Rolling releases introduce new features available in the next Long Term Support release, as well as product and vulnerability fixes. They have the following limitations compared to LTS releases:
-
Solace provides two years of support for Rolling releases, but does not provide them with maintenance releases. Security issues identified in a Rolling release are addressed in a later Rolling release.
Support Phases in PubSub+ Cloud
Each Long Term Support and Rolling release has full support for two years from its release date. The following table summarizes the support for each release type:
Release type | Support time frame | What's included in the Support Phase |
---|---|---|
Long Term Support release | Two years from the release date of the LTS release |
Maintenance releases every two weeks, including security and product fixes as outlined in Types of Releases in PubSub+ Cloud |
Rolling release | Two years from the release date of the Rolling release PubSub+ software event broker . |
No maintenance releases, but you can upgrade at any time to any higher release numbered version that was released after your current version and was released while your current version was still within its active support period. |
